Art Is Life 

Ray Ray was born in Detroit, Michigan in the year 1985.  Detroit nurtured her creativity in ways no other place could with a rich underground scene of musicians, artists and resilient souls.  The city was a canvas and a safe retreat away from a consumer-culture infected society that seemed to have forgotten the sheer magic of being.  It filled her soul with unlimited possibility and inspiration during a time when artists could live for next to nothing and had free reign of a fallen metropolis. Her studio was furnished with treasures from abandoned buildings she collected while spray painting her visions and truths in the solitude of the night. 

 She attended art school in Saginaw, Chicago and Detroit before moving to New York to study holistic living at Omega Institute. Omega inspired her to pursue organic farming opportunities on the Hawaiian Islands to deepen her connection to the Earth. These experiences influenced her art immensely. Her work became infused with more meaning than ever as she delved into quantum physics, permaculture and the interconnectedness of all that exists. 

In 2008 She began instructing art and developed a unique meditation based experience that invited participants to dive deep within themselves and create from a place of inner peace and acceptance.  She has worked with inner city youth, adults, Waldorf students and even summer camps!  She is currently living and working in her studio in mid-coast Maine. 

Ray Ray describes herself as being a spark of the divine that has been blessed beyond measure with a gift and an opportunity to use art as a medium to express her overflowing passion for life and healing. She believes we are all ancient stardust having a human experience here to embody unconditional LOVE.
